Harriet Tubman said, “And then one day, I looked at my hands to see if I was the same person now that I’se was free”.
That’s a powerful and profound saying, ain’t it? She endured so much in her life and during her life that is still spoken of years later. The only people who wake up enslaved are those who sleeps with the past. But not Harriet. It was if she knew her hands were blessed to tear down and rebuild. Harriet rebranded slavery and freedom for people to become a part of. She wanted so much for her people to wake up free and to never awaken in bondage again. She operated fully on the truthfulness that she was to be free. To operate with other men and women who also thought slavery was a sin. There.
Slavery is a sin
That’s when I really started reading all that I could. Sure, there’s yet massive amounts to read but the #TRUTH in America? Slavery is a sin. That’s why the correlation of 🦒 animals treatment by humans during Jim Crow laws has always been a mystery to me. It is as if a man can treat an animal better than a human all the while knowing that GOD created both.
